Lam Wing Moon Raymond has completed his PhD degree in Biomaterial in The University of Hong Kong at 2009. During PhD study, he optimized the strontium based bioactive bone cement for hip replacement surgery under supervision of Prof William Lu. After graduation, he joins Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, National University of Singapore in March, 2011 under supervision of Prof Wong Hee Kit to carry a NIG project for nerve root compression rodent model to evaluate the efficiency of fluorescent and MRI probe system. Our group also work on NELL-1 polyelectrolyte complex carrier study for spine fusion application.
Under support of NMRC NIG grant, a MRI compatible distraction system has been developed for longitudinal study on rabbit model. The result has been presented in International Conference on Biomedical Engineering conference and get a merit poster award in 2019. Current, our group are studying the correlation between sarcopenia and kyphosis progression on TSC1mKO mouse model (collaboration project with Dr. Tsai Shih Yin, Department of Physiology NUS)
